The Worldwide Photowalk organized by Scott Kelby has been set and I went to the site and registered right away. No hesitation, whatsoever. This annual event has helped me keep my passion for photography grow stronger each year and as it was aimed for, it helps me meet like minded individuals.
The world we live in right now is full of distractions for the reason that everything is just on the tip of our fingers and more and more information are being passed on everyday thanks to social media, that we tend to be distracted and walk to a different path before we even know it. Thanks to this activity, the annual “Scott Kelby World Wide Photowalk” that we stop with what are doing at the moment like projects, our jobs or even the thing that stops us from using our cameras and meet with fellow photographers new and old and socialize. Yeah socialize. We photographers do not socialize that much most of the time as let’s admit it, some of us are shy and just want to click the shutter and take a picture. Little that we know that by socializing through this event, we get to hone our skills of interacting with people. This is the same skills we must have when we shoot models, products, fashion, even landscapes and many more.
The first time I joined this event was the WWPW 2012 in Penang, Malaysia and I had so much fun that I joined the next one WWPW 2013 in Kuala Lumpur. So for 3 years in a row, I will join the WWPW and this year 2014 with high spirits and with something in mind that this will turn out to be great. Registration has started for walkers and walk leaders. Please visit the website now to register. Oh and did I mention? Cool prizes are at stake.
