A Quick Trek To Taman Tar

With my photography buddies Jonnell and Ate Lolit, we headed to Taman Tar in Ampang for a short hill trek. We were catching our breath on the first part of the trek as the path was so steep. The view of the lake and the whole scenery was so rewarding though when we reached the destination. We went there with a goal in mind to shoot some landscapes surrounding the lake and it ended up that we had our best morning cardio and legs exercise. Tiring, but worth the trip.

Brought my trusty DSLR and my Gopro using a chesty mount. I shot more on the gopro as I filmed the walking and did some timelapse.

One big advantage of using a gopro is that you can shoot it in perspectives your normal dslr can’t compete. I had it mounted on my tripod and raised it up. While connected through wifi on my phone, I was able to choose which photo to capture using the live view. The photo above looks like I am above but I was just  5 meters away from Jonnell with the same level as he is.

Check out my short video of the trek. Hope you like it.

Thank you Ate Lolit for bringing us there (our guide and driver) and for the breakfast at Whorlow’s residence.
