Spent almost whole Saturday of the weekend shooting at a friend's house for splash and still photography. With my regular photography buddies, off we went to the house of Lolit Whorlow who happens to have a mini studio on her house that we can shoot and experiment on. This was kinda an experiment shoot because we don't shoot this kind of photography all the time and we are very much curious to learn about it.
We had a small aquarium and filled it with 2/3 water, played with some fruits and vegetables by dropping them to the water after we had the light that we wanted. It is a very tricky shoot because you have to be precise in clicking that shutter to get the right action. I used a 70mm-300mm utilizing its macro capabilities and my camera settings were 1/180 shutter speed (the fastest my camera and the flash can handle ), aperture of F/16-22 and ISO100.
We did manage to get other subjects like wine and liquor bottles, jewelries and food. Yes food.
Thanks Lolit Whorlow for being such a good host as always and the delicious food she prepared for us. I managed to take photos of the food we ate using my phone.
Over all experience was fun and we really had a great time playing with the subjects and playing with the settings on our camera and lights to suit the desired effect we wanted.
